Nicola Gibbs – Indy
Nicola’s disability means that she needs assistance with things that we take for granted; such as answering the phone, fetching the post and picking up items that we drop. Through Dog Aid (Assistance in Disability), Nicola and I teamed up and began training sessions, and now Indy can give Nicola the independence that she deserves. She truly is an amazing dog
29th May 2015Being a disabled person who is wheelchair-bound with quite severe upper limb weakness, I was hoping my Border Collie (Indy) could be taught to help me with every day life.Lorraine instantly put myself, my husband and Indy at ease with her understanding and very gentle nature.Using click, treats, praise and time Lorraine taught us how to work together to achieve so many things. She has, quite literally, helped train Indy to such a standard I can be home alone without my husband having to leave employment to be with me.Indy is an unbelievably happy dog who enjoys the training and loves Lorraine’s visits. I would recommend her to anybody looking for a dog trainer without hesitation.Mrs Nicola Gibbs
Graham & Mandy Webb – Tonka
Tonka was born and raised at a kennels in Wales and, although he was well cared for, socialisation with other breeds was limited. This meant that he didn’t know how to greet other dogs appropriately, nor had he experienced day-to-day activities, such as travelling.
4th June 2015We were recommended to Lorraine to help our 13 month old Labrador adapt to the world, as he had never previously left the breeders kennels. Using her vast experience and knowledge, Lorraine taught us ‘one on one’ to use ‘tiny steps’ introducing Tonka to travelling in the car, visiting a busy high street, and getting Tonka used to meeting other dogs.Lorraine’s professionalism and friendliness was so helpful to us – and of course was picked up by Tonka as he learnt good behaviour and manners!Occasionally we still ask for Lorraine’s help, often to remind us – even if Tonka remembers !We will always be grateful for Lorraine’s wisdom and knowledge and would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog trainer or behaviourist.Graham and Mandy Webb
